The paintings exhibited here, though watercolors, are not created using the typical
watercolor technique of applying thin washes of paint to create a somewhat transparent
effect. Rather, the watercolor paint is applied more heavily, often with a palette knife,
producing a highly-textured image that may at first appear to be a picture done in oil.
