Description : Oil on tin. Picture of automobile accident; boy lying next to car; devil on car; Virgin hovering above. This painting is copied from an image in the exhibition catalog, Dones y Promesas. The text says:

A la santísima Virgen de Guadalupe agradezco por su milagro de salvar la vida de mi hijo Rafael Cardenas de 4 años que fue atropellado por un automovil el 11 de Septiembre de 1949. En prueba de agradecimiento y en petición de que pronto logre recuperar su salud, lo traigo esto testimonio. Carmen Perez de Cardenas.

To the most holy Virgin of Guadalupe, I give thanks for the miracle of saving the life of my 4-year-old son, Rafael Cardenas, who was run over by an automobile on September 11, 1949.
