This is a plaster statue of San Antonio from Bolivia. The visible portions of the saint's body are painted in flesh tones or other appropriate colors (brown hair, red lips). The plaster may be surrounding a structure of plant fibers or gessoed cloth. The statue is attached to a wooden base. The saint has glass eyes, has two defined teeth, wears a blue robe with lacelike hem and orange sash, and wears a blue cloak with orange trim. There is a hole in the back of the saint's head where a crown was probably once inserted. A previous owner has added a paper flower in his outstretched right hand.
