Cast metal (lost wax) sculptures
from West Bengal

A tradition of cast metal sculpture using the lost-wax (or cire perdue) process exists in northeast India. This art is practiced particularly by tribal groups in the tribal belt that runs from West Bengal and Bihar, through Orissa, into Madhya Pradesh.
