This first set of tasser paintings consist of scrolls. They are oriented horizontally, with a wooden dowel and a string and tassel at either end. The paintings include both religious themes and village scenes.

In answer to the prayers of the king of Puri for assistance in his war against the king of Kanchi, the god Jagannath (in black on the white horse) and his brother Balabhadra (in white on the black horse) ride in battle to Kanchi. Along the way, they receive a drink from a milkmaid (view close-up). |
This second set of tasser paintings consists of paintings on 14" x 18" pieces of silk.
Framed or unframed as indicated. Silk set on matte board, framed in a black metal frame, placed under glass with a spacer to separate the silk from the glass.
